Tibetan Antelope at Budongquan

Budongquan, a remote high-altitude settlement on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, lies within range of Hoh Xil, one of the last great strongholds for the Tibetan antelope & wild yak. Photographers joining Tibetan Wildlife of the Qing-Zang Plateau will use this outpost as a base for encountering the chiru against the vast, open expanse of the plateau. November is the typical month to visit, when the thin air & dramatic light of this remote landscape combine to frame these resilient animals in their stark, high-altitude world.
