Double-crested Cormorant at Florida

Florida's low-lying peninsula, laced with freshwater marshes & cypress swamps, provides an ideal stage for observing the Double-crested Cormorant against the backdrop of the Atlantic & Gulf coastlines. Photographers joining the Florida Ospreys holiday in April will find these waters equally productive for cormorant sightings, as the birds make use of the same wetland mosaic. Patience around the marsh edges often rewards the lens with striking views of this adaptable waterbird. The interplay of open water & dense cypress cover makes for varied & rewarding compositions throughout the trip.
