Desert Monitor at Saharan Desert

The Saharan Desert reaches into southeastern Morocco, where the Atlas Mountains give way to stony hamada plains, wind-carved dunes, & scattered pockets of acacia scrub, & it's along this transitional edge of the world's largest hot desert that photographers may encounter the Desert Monitor. This rugged, arid terrain offers plenty of open ground for spotting these substantial lizards as they move across the landscape. Travellers joining the Fennec Foxes & other Moroccan Wildlife holiday in May will be exploring this very habitat, making it a fitting opportunity to add the Desert Monitor to their portfolio alongside the region's other desert specialities.
