Desert Warbler at Saharan Desert
The southeastern reaches of Morocco, where the Atlas Mountains give way to the stony hamada plains, dune fields, & scattered acacia scrub of the Saharan Desert, offer a fitting backdrop for tracking down the Desert Warbler. This arid, transitional edge of the Sahara rewards patient observers willing to scan the sparse cover for movement among the scrub. Photographers joining the Fennec Foxes & other Moroccan Wildlife holiday in May have the chance to encounter this species amid the wider desert landscape. As with much desert wildlife photography, success here depends on working the available light against the stark, open terrain.
